How to Complete the Delaware Continuing Education Renewal

Real Estate licenses and permits expire April 30 of even years.  This includes Broker, Associate Broker and Salesperson licenses, whether in active or inactive status, and all office permits.

Continuing education that Delaware licensees complete between May 1, – April 30, for their 2020 renewal must meet these new requirements:  complete 21 hours of CE during each licensure renewal period other than their first.  A Minimum of at 3 hours must be taken in these specific course modules:

Core Module 1 – Agency and Fair Housing
Core Module 2 – Professional Standards
Core Module 3 – Real Estate Documents
Core Module 4 – Office Management
Core Module 5 – Legislative Issues
Core Module 6 – Practices of Real Estate
Module 7 – Electives

*Completion of one of the Post-Licensing New Salesperson Modules 1-4 can also be used to fulfill the 3 hour Elective CE credit of Module 7 once per renewal cycle.

Online Limitations

The Delaware Real Estate Commission requires a timing mechanism for all distance education courses to ensure that the courses cannot be completed in less time than the approved credit hours. Please note that your course will time out after several minutes of inactivity.
