How to Get a Illinois Real Estate Managing Broker License

Requirements to obtain a Managing Broker’s License (as of May 1, 2011):

  1. Certification that the applicant is 21 years of age;
  2. A high school graduation certificate or its equivalent (e.g., GED);
  3. The designated fee indicated in Section 1450.130;
  4. Proof of one of the following:
    1. Documentation from the Supreme Court of Illinois stating that you able to practice law; or
    2. Proof that you have completed at least 165 hours of instruction in real estate courses approved by the Advisory Council in accordance with Section 1450.1100.
